Osun State Polytechnic Iree to graduate thousand of students
Management of Osun Polytechnic Iree has disclosed that it will present about fourteen thousand graduands for the combined 5th Convocation Programme of the Institution coming up on Tuesday 29th November, 2016
A release Signed by the Media Relation Officer of the Institution, Mr Tope Abiola disclosed that the qraduands are the students of the Polytechnic who graduated between 2012 and 2015 sessions both at National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels, including Full Time and part Time Programmes.
Abiola states that the Convocation Programme will commence with Media Tour of Facilities executed by the Institution’s Management in the last five years and a Press Conference to be addressed by the Rector, Dr. Jacob Olusola Agboola on Friday next week, while the convocation lecture will hold on Monday 28 November at the school Auditorium. The Theme of the lecture is Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education: A veritable Tool for Job Creation and Self Reliance , to be delivered by a renowned entrepreneur, Mr Lucas Adeniyi, under the chairmanship of Professor Olu Obafemi.
The Release also states that His Imperial Majesty, The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja ll and Engr. Ade Afolabi, The Asiwaju of Iree land would be conferred with the Fellowship Awards of the Institution, while the visitor to the institution, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, the state Governor is expected as the special guest of honour at the occasion marking the grand finale of the Ceremony on Tuesday 29, during which about 14 thousand Graduands of the Polytechnic in the last four years would be awarded various Certificates, Diplomas and Prizes.
